How to create receive File function

    Step 1

    To create a file receive function, go to Biztalk Administration.

    Step 2

    Expand Microsoft Biztalk Server 2000 and then expand Biztalk Server Group.

    Step 3

    Right click on Receive Function and when a menu popup select Next and choose File Receive Function.


    Step 4

    A new window will appear. Then enter the following information as shown in the window below:


    Name : NewReceiveFile

    File types to poll for : *.xml

    Polling Location c:\biztalk\buyer

    Step 5

    Click on Ok to create it.

    Step 1

    In order to compile your schedule, go to File and select Make then choose name of your schedule


    Then another window will appear


    Step 2

    Provide a name for your Schedule and the click on Save to compile it.

    To create scripting component click on Scripting component located on your right hand side.

    Then drag it into the right hand side of the separator. Then script component wizard will appear.

    We will call it SprocessPoComponent.

    Then click Next to continue.

    Choose Static and then click on Next to continue.


    Step 6

    User need to specify a window script component file. In this example we used a sample script from Microsoft called PORequestApproval.wsc to continue.


    Step 7

    Since there are 3 function in this file, check all and then click on Next to continue.


    Step 8

    Accept the default and click on Finish when done.

    User will notice that there are 3 lines connecting to your scripting component that is the name of the method defined in your script.

    To create a communication flow into an action, just drag on a line from your action to the message queue that you have created.


    Step 2

    Then XML Communication Wizard will appear. Since we are creating an inflow communication, verify that Receive is selected and click on Next to continue.

    In the create a new message section, enter RequestPo and then click on Next to continue.


Step 4

Here, click Next to continue.


    In the message specification, we will use the sample that comes together with Biztalk Server.

    User can also specify fields that should be included in this message specification.

    Click on Finish when done.

    To create a message queue go to your right hand side of your workspace and then select Message Queue as shown below:

    Drag it across to your implementation (right hand side) of your workspace.

    Then Message Queuing Binding Wizard will appear as illustrated below:

    Here we will select a static queue and click on Next to continue.

    Accept the default and click on Next to continue.

    Just drag the decision rule Purchase Rule to an action called Reject – that you need to create.
